We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with people! Each year, the Friends of Point Pelee provide an amazing birding and shopping experience for both our local and our global community.
This is a unique position that will fluctuate between part-time and full-time hours.
Starting immediately, the successful candidate will fulfill a part-time position as a Retail Sales Associate which includes working in the Nature Nook Gift Shop and helping out with stock.
Starting in May, this position will transition into an exciting, fulltime position as our Festival Assistant, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience incredible teamwork as they work alongside our dedicated staff and volunteers, each day of the festival, from May 1 – May 19.
Once the festival has wrapped up, the successful candidate will return to their original, part-time, retail position until the end of October.
Job Description:
*Excellent verbal skills in English is required.
*Speaking French is beneficial to the position.
*Fast paced environment
*Standing for long hours
*Must have own, reliable transportation
*Repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds
*Must be able to count cash back to patrons
*Ring in sales, bag items, restock shelves
*Serve visitors with a smile and have fun!
