The Early Bird Gets the Wine - CANCELLED

Join a guide from the Ontario Field Ornithologists for a relaxing afternoon of wine and birding.  We'll tour on a 24-passenger bus to some of the unique wineries in Essex County, with excellent wine and beautiful surroundings for birding.  You'll enjoy tastings at three different wineries, with lunch along the way.  Space is limited - reserve your spot today.

Cost: $85/person, includes transportation, lunch and tasting at three wineries.

Dates: May 6 & 7

Time: 11 am to 5 pm.  Meet at the Park Administration building (407 Monarch Lane).  Parking is available.

Bird Photography Walks

Spring Migration at Point Pelee offers some great wildlife photo opportunities. While migrating birds often allow close approach, bird photography comes with many challenges.

Follow Nikon® Canada Ambassador and Quest Nature Tours leader Tony Beck as he takes a leisurely stroll through the park. He'll look and listen for interesting birds to observe while being on the lookout for potential photos. Tony will reveal how he approaches these situations. He'll also provide several tips on how to improve your bird photography.

When: May 6 & 7: 8 am or 12:30 pm, Visitor Centre

Cost: $25/person

Family Birding Hike 

Is your family interested in birds?  Do you want to learn more about birdwatching?  Join Jody Allair from Bird Studies Canada for this family birding hike.  You'll learn how to use binoculars and get out on a trail to look for birds.  Fun for the entire family.
